Team, I’m so excited.
One of the best parts of my job is hearing people’s stories and having discussions with the folks who make North Carolina great. The whole point of our work is about setting priorities together, then making them happen together to make real progress.
That’s why I’m excited for the new year, hitting the road again all across our awesome state and checking in with the people I serve. A lot of politicians pretend to listen, but it goes in one ear and out the other. You should know that’s not how I do things.
But a guy’s also got to eat. Before I hit the road in the new year, it would be great to hear from you. Will you let me know what your favorite local restaurant is in North Carolina?
After long days of traveling around the state and checking in with folks, my favorite thing to do is stop by a local restaurant and enjoy a good meal.
From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Outer Banks and everywhere in between, our state is home to amazing restaurants. We’ve got some of the best, unique, and locally-sourced restaurants, from taco joints alongside the French Broad river to oyster bars down east to so many amazing BBQ places in nearly every town in North Carolina.
But with so many great restaurants, how does one even choose? That’s why I put together this quick survey to get your thoughts.
I know we’ll have to make a lot of critically important decisions in the next year. And we’ll take the time to get those right.
But first, will you fill out my quick lunch survey? I’m really looking forward to reading your recommendations and trying out some good eats soon.
Thanks as always for your input! I’ll report back on some of my favorite places soon.
