Team: A new freshman class is headed to Congress, and 17 NewDems are joining the ranks! This moment is the result of all of your hard work, support, and grassroots donations. Every NewDem freshman was sent financial backing to help them squeak out wins in extremely competitive races on Election Day – and your donations made the difference. But building a warchest to be able to support NewDems facing the most competitive elections of the cycle didn’t happen overnight: In the two years leading up to the midterms, we built an army of over 150 recurring donors who helped us lock in the resources we needed, so that we could send support to NewDem exactly when they needed it. Many of these freshman NewDems represent districts that will be on the top of the GOP’s target list for defeat in 2024 – and we need to start building NOW to mount our defense.
