John, it's Monday morning, everybody is getting back to work - and so are we. I want to take a minute to tell you what we have in store.
We've engineered two projects that support one another and also act as parallel initiatives to help Democrats win in red districts in 2024.
First, we are assembling a rural activist network that is comprised of not just individuals but small local organizations. Identifying and facilitating the best work being done by the most talented organizers across middle America to make sure the best ideas get the resources they deserve. Lack of organization and support in middle America has been Democrats Achilles heel for years now and this project is designed to solve it!
Next, a ballot initiatives task force. While MAGA Republicans organize to recall duly elected officials - we will spend our energy fighting for the issues we care about. The initiatives in Michigan lead to sweeping victory, painting that state blue and we all know what happened in Kansas protecting the right to choose.
The fact is blue issues win in red states. If we run issue-based, non-partisan initiatives and referendums, Democratic candidates can benefit from our work. Essentially parallel campaigning with our efforts leading on the issues and depolarizing the conversation. The exact recipe to win America's heartland. We have already recruited partners responsible for a victory in Wisconsin that made national headlines and are preparing to expand upon this winning strategy to bring it to as many states as possible.
