*Share Your Ideas and Help Guide DOB's Strategic Enforcement Plan in the Future*

Dear DOB Customers,

The Department of Buildings' (DOB) mission is to protect the safety of District of Columbia residents, businesses, and visitors, and to advance the development of the built environment through permitting, inspections, and code enforcement. With this in mind, DOB develops the Strategic Enforcement Plan every three years using current data and best practices, and incorporating community sentiment.

DOB is pleased to invite you to share your thoughts in an online forum to inform parts of our Strategic Enforcement Plan for FY23 – FY25, and to solicit your ideas to keeping the District safe. Additionally, a special discussion on *December 15, 2022 at 10:00 am* will also be held to provide more context on DOB's strategic enforcement initiatives. We invite all community members to share their ideas and join us to learn more about our work.

As part of developing the first DOB Strategic Enforcement Plan, we’ve set up a community engagement forum. It is open now through December 31, 2022, and we invite you to contribute immediately by answering the questions below:

"How should the Department of Buildings focus its efforts to best support its mission over the next three years? What are your ideas for strategic enforcement and priority areas?"
