Hello John,

I am so excited to be writing to you!  Today marks the first day of OutSummit, one of Outright’s marquee annual programmatic events.  

Since 2012, Outright has held this unique global gathering of LGBTIQ activists and movement supporters to share innovative pathways to accelerate progress together, for better LGBTIQ lives.

To combat violence and discrimination, OutSummit engages its stakeholders in strategic conversations about the state of the global LGBTIQ movement and how to create change for LGBTIQ people everywhere.  

At OutSummit we also come together to celebrate our community’s wins.  This year, I’m proud to share just a few important milestones: 

• Antigua and Barbuda and St. Kitts and Nevis struck down colonial-era sodomy laws criminalizing same-sex relations. 
• Marriage equality became the law of the land in Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

John, right now we can accelerate change for millions of LGBTIQ people around the world so that tomorrow, we have more to celebrate.
