I hear you. I really do. Your inbox is already bursting with things to attend to before the holidays hit and now, on top of all that, you’ve been inundated with fundraising emails.
Here is where I am supposed to tell you that we hate sending these emails too. But I can’t. Because I love it!
Our end-of-year fundraising emails are one of the best parts of my job because it gives me the ability to raise up all the amazing things Reproaction has accomplished this year.
2022 was a rough year for reproductive justice. The Dobbs decision in June overturned Roe and revoked the constitutionally protected right to abortion, a right that was already difficult to access in many regions of the country.
We fought back and so did you.
You joined us on webinars raising awareness to important and overlooked reproductive justice topics, such as the threat to birth control, abortion care for young people, and why adoption is not an alternative to abortion (as it is so often claimed.) You attended strategy sessions specific to different regions throughout the country on how to best fight back after the fall of Roe. You stood up at rallies in big cities and small towns to say: Abortion Is Unstoppable.
We are so proud of what was accomplished this year and have so much more planned.
When you hear your email ping, don’t think of it as just another ask. Think of it as a reminder for all the ways, big and small, you stood up in the fight for abortion rights.
