Dear Friend,
Look what we've been able to accomplish to prevent the internet-enabled exploitation of children! The progress I'm sharing below is all because of you and your generous partnership which allows us to make these huge strides! But there is much more work to be done.
This holiday season, will you consider giving a lifesaving gift to impact the safety and dignity of your loved ones for generations to come? This is the gift of ‘innocence protected’ in the digital age.
Enough Is Enough (EIE) was the first non-profit organization to recognize the abuse and misuse of the internet by pornographers, child pornographers, and predators, and in 1994, birthed the internet safety movement in America.
Congress heeded our warnings, passing ground-breaking laws designed to protect children from online sexual exploitation. However, well-funded legal challenges to these bi-partisan laws filed by the ACLU and supported by the internet industry and free speech associations resulted in the Supreme Court deciding against upholding three of these bi-partisan laws, paving the way for three decades of irreparable harm to millions of men, women and especially children!
Since then, illicit sex industries have thrived, including an ever-growing sex trafficking industry, each generating billions of dollars in revenue annually at the expense of the most vulnerable – our children. Meanwhile, Big Tech giants have continued to put profits over child safety.
Be it in the home, school, shopping mall, or anywhere else children have unfiltered internet access, vulnerable children are being actively lured, seduced, and groomed by pornographers, predators, and traffickers. No child is safe!
Since our movement began, non-profit groups, government leaders, and other stakeholders have gradually recognized what EIE had been saying all along- the online sexual exploitation and abuse of children is a public health issue of growing pandemic proportions.
Because of our relentless pursuit to protect kids online, the tide is beginning to turn with current efforts underway to hold Big Porn and traffickers accountable, Big Tech and Big Government responsible.
The great news is that the impact of the internet safety movement continues to expand exponentially because our holistic multi-pronged approach works, as evidenced by the fact that many NGO’s have since adopted our successful strategy.
