Why we are 350: Scientists overwhelmingly agree that 350 ppm CO2 is the upper limit to sustain life as humans have known it. For 800,000+ years atmospheric CO2 varied between roughly 180 to 280 ppm. We passed 350 ppm around 1988!
- April 26, 2022: 422.06 ppm (Record high in more than 2 million years)

350MKE People Make a Difference - We Act!

A week ago we were at a gathering for the Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor-elect during which we gave the "elevator speech" about 350.org and 350 ppm CO2 many times. I'm always surprised by how many otherwise informed people are "hazy" about CO2. They get very interested quickly.

Can we do good when we're dead?
What's the matter with current burial practices?
What are the alternatives?

These are the questions that Katie Heinen, member of Interfaith Earth Network (IEN), and Terry Wiggins, former member of IEN, will address, as they talk to us about natural burial, a.k.a. green burial.

A Teach-in on We Energies, Climate & Racial Equity
Thursday, December 15, 2022 6:00 PM -  7:30 PM CT
Citizen Action of Wisconsin, 4716 W Vliet St

Join Citizen Action members and staff to learn about how We Energies is blocking needed action on the climate crisis and shifting unaffordable utility rates on to low income people of color in Milwaukee. We will learn how Citizen Action members can hold We Energies accountable and use the power of city and state government to build a just and sustainable energy system.

Meet us at the Citizen Action Office or via zoom. Refreshments will be provided and families are welcome. For questions contact Barbara Cerda (Southeast WI) at [email protected] or Valerie Ricks (Northside Rising) [email protected].
