Captain Wendell Oliver Pruitt Day

Today is Captain Wendell Oliver Pruitt Day in St. Louis, celebrating the life and accomplishments of this locally born Tuskegee Airman. Pruitt was a pioneering African-American pilot who fought in WWII and won the Distinguished Flying Cross for his outstanding achievements during his military service.
