Court Rules Healthcare Providers Cannot be Forced to Perform Gender Transition Surgeries

The Biden Administration can appeal decision. Reuters: The Biden administration cannot force a group of Catholic healthcare providers and professionals to perform gender transition surgeries under an Obama-era regulation barring sex discrimination in healthcare, a U.S. appeals court ruled on Friday. A unanimous three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a North Dakota federal judge who said the U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) rule infringes on the religious freedoms of the plaintiffs, including a group of nuns who run health clinics for the poor and an association of Catholic healthcare professionals (Reuters). Catholic News Agency: “The federal government has no business forcing doctors to violate their consciences or perform controversial procedures that could permanently harm their patients,” Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at Becket legal group (Twitter).

New Zealand Officials Take Baby from Parents for Requesting Blood Transfusion from Unvaccinated Person
PJ Media: New Zealand has long been in the running for the most draconian COVID-19 lockdown policy under WEF minion Jacinda Ardern, edged out perhaps in its brutality only by Canada. The Kiwi nation recently threatened to remove a child from his parents’ custody on the grounds that they don’t want him infused with mRNA blood. The ethical limit to a parent’s authority over medical decisions for his or her child is apparently where that authority might interfere with Pfizer’s profits and the state’s social control (PJ Media). New video came out of New Zealand authorities establishing custody the infant from the parents. Hodgetwins: The New Zealand govt. is now taking babies from parents that don’t want vaccinated blood pumped into their baby (Twitter). Luke Rudkowski: Video footage from New Zealand of cops following orders and stealing a baby from its mother Cops following order will commit the most unimaginable grotesque human rights violations (Twitter).

Canadian Gets Approval from Doctor for Euthanasia Due to Being Poor
Daily Mail: A Canadian pensioner seeking euthanasia because he fears homelessness has received approval from a doctor despite admitting poverty is a major factor in the decision to end his own life. Les Landry, 65, told assessors for the procedure he ‘doesn’t want to die’ but has applied for medical assistance in dying (MAID) because he can’t afford to live comfortably. Astonishingly, a doctor has given one of the two signatures required for Landry to end his own life, despite knowing that financial hardship – not illness – is a leading reason for the profound decision (Daily Mail). National Review: Note that this is allowed in U.S. assisted-suicide laws too. In fact, many assisted suicides are facilitated by doctors who have not treated the patient and only met them briefly for the purpose of obtaining the lethal prescription. These days, assisted suicide can even be obtained in a Zoom call (National Review).

US, Britain Warn Against Iran, Russia Deepening Military Alliance
Bloomberg: Russia and Iran are expanding their military partnership, a White House spokesman said, warning that Tehran is considering supplying the Kremlin with ballistic missiles on top of drones that have been used to attack Ukrainian civilian targets. “We urge Iran to reverse course, and not take these steps,” Kirby told reporters (Bloomberg). Hill: British foreign secretary James Cleverly issues a statement supporting the U.S. assessment, “Iran is now one of Russia’s top military backers.” While the U.S. and outside experts say that they have not seen any indication Russia is helping Iran with its nuclear program, Kirby warned that the deepening military ties between Russia and Iran are leading to “a full-fledged defense partnership” (Hill).

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: “his weapons might've been used to kill Americans, but he has not killed Americans”
Fox News: Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, defended President Biden’s decision to swap notorious Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout for WNBA player Brittney Griner, claiming the “Merchant of Death” never actually killed any Americans himself. The congresswoman appeared on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” on Friday to discuss the exchange which has been criticized by Republicans and Justice Department figures as a poor deal. The criticism are over concerns that Bout’s release could threaten the safety of the United States (Fox News). RNC Research: Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee on Russian arms dealer Viktor Bout: “In actuality, his weapons might’ve been used to kill Americans, but he has not killed Americans” (Twitter).

Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s Party Switch Lands Her in a Difficult Spot for 2024
Fox News: Independent Arizona Sen. Kyrsten Sinema’s departure from the Democratic Party on Friday raises questions concerning the future of her pivotal Senate seat in the body’s already slim margin between Democrats and Republicans. Arizona law will not allow her to run as a candidate of a particular political party if she is an independent. Therefore, she would likely be forced to run in a 2024 general election against a future Democratic and Republican nominee if she seeks re-election to win a second term (Fox News). Washington Times: The 46-year-old dropped the bombshell roughly a year after activists chased her into a bathroom stall and bird dogged her at a wedding she officiated — prompting the mother of the bride to plead with the small, but vocal group of protestors not to spoil the ceremony. Ms. Sinema made it clear she is sick of that sort of tribalism (Washington Times).

Twitter File Leak Exposes Former Head of Trust and Safety to Be a Dubious Individual
Daily Caller: Twitter’s former Head of Trust and Safety, Yoel Roth, had weekly meetings with the FBI, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) at least as far back as 2020, when former President Donald Trump was still in office, internal communications between Twitter staff obtained by journalist Matt Taibbi Friday reveal (Daily Caller). Matt Taibbi: After J6, internal Slacks show Twitter executives getting a kick out of intensified relationships with federal agencies. Here’s Trust and Safety head Yoel Roth, lamenting a lack of “generic enough” calendar descriptions to concealing his “very interesting” meeting partners (Twitter). Post Millennial: Former head of Twitter Trust and Safety Yoel Roth, tweeted out a link in 2010 to a Salon article titled “Student-teacher sex: When is it OK” (Post Millennial)? Jack Posobiec: The head of Twitter Trust and Safety. And now we know why child abuse was not taken seriously (Twitter).

Libyan Intel Official in US Custody, Faces Charges for Plane Bombing in 1988
Associated Press: A Libyan intelligence official accused of making the bomb that brought down Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland, in 1988 in an international act of terrorism has been taken into U.S. custody and will face federal charges in Washington, the Justice Department said Sunday. The arrest of Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud Kheir Al-Marimi is a milestone in the decades-old investigation into the attack that killed 259 people in the air and 11 on the ground. Though he is the third Libyan intelligence official charged in the U.S. in connection with the attack, he would be the first to appear in an American courtroom for prosecution. The New York-bound Pan Am flight exploded over Lockerbie less than an hour after takeoff from London on Dec. 21, 1988. Citizens from 21 different countries were killed. Among the 190 Americans on board were 35 Syracuse University students flying home for Christmas after a semester abroad (Associated Press).

New York Post: Ronna McDaniel, the chair of the Republican National Committee, called for unity among members of the party after a lackluster showing in the midterm elections delivered a narrow GOP majority in the House but failed to take control of the Senate. McDaniel, who is up for reelection in January, warned that “infighting” among members of her party will pave the way to victory for Democratic candidates in future elections (New York Post). She also warned the “Twitter Files” leak is just “the tip of the iceberg” (Fox News).
