I hope you’ll take the time to read through this email.

I have about 10 spare minutes today, folks. So I want to take this time to share why fighting for New Mexicans in the U.S. Senate means so much to me.

I was raised by a union lineman and a factory worker who taught me the value of hard work.

I worked my way through college to earn a mechanical engineering degree — where I found my passion for clean energy. I even designed and built a carbon fiber solar-powered car called the “Sun Tiger” with my engineering classmates that we raced across the United States:

My career has spanned from working on directed energy at the Air Force Research Laboratory at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, to learning about the importance of conservation work in rural communities as an AmeriCorps fellow, to serving on the Albuquerque City Council, before coming to Congress.

I’ve always been focused on delivering results for people and our planet — no matter what job I hold. But continuing my work in the Senate is especially important right now — as we work to protect reproductive rights, act on climate change, support key investments in education, and more.

That’s why it’s so important my campaign meets our mid-month goal this coming week to prepare for the fights ahead and stay on course to reach our public fundraising goal at the end of the month. Can you pitch in any amount to power our work?
