Hi John:

If you’re like me, you’ll be spending tomorrow evening and Wednesday night
in front of the TV watching Democratic presidential hopefuls compete for
our trust and votes. The field is narrowing and as candidates fight to
distinguish themselves from the crowd, there’s one question we’ll be
asking: What will they do to fight the climate crisis starting on Day One?

That’s why 350 Action is launching the Day One Pledge today, and our asks
are clear. We believe a Real Climate Leader should start tackling the
climate crisis on their first day as President by:

 1. Rejecting all new federally-approved coal, oil, gas, and other fossil
fuel project permits
 2. Banning oil and gas drilling and fracking on public lands and off our
coasts
 3. Rejoining the Paris Climate Accord
 4. Calling on Congress to investigate the fossil fuel industry’s role in
misleading the public and stalling climate action

[ [link removed] ]Will you help us push candidates to take the Day One Pledge? Let’s
flood candidates’ Twitter feeds with asks to take the pledge.

The power of the Presidency means that they can take action to slow the
climate crisis within hours of taking office. We believe any candidate who
claims to be a climate leader should be prepared to make climate action a
priority on day one.

It’s going to be a long primary season. Let’s use this time to urge
candidates to pledge to take swift climate action. [ [link removed] ]Will you Tweet to
ask the candidates where they stand on the Day One Pledge?

Furiously tweeting with you,

Jenny
