Since the U.S. Supreme Court eliminated the constitutional right to abortion in June, millions of voters have gone to the polls and spoken out, clearly demonstrating their support for reproductive rights.
From Montana to Michigan and Kansas to Kentucky, voters supported abortion rights while rejecting ballot measures limiting care. Even many candidates who campaigned on more restrictions and bans lost critical races and helped ensure Republicans were unable to flip control of the U.S. Senate.
There is still a path forward for Congress to restore the right to abortion nationwide during the lame duck session. Congress can listen to the American people and codify Roe before the end of the year.
