To finish the job, we must make sure GOP Attorney General candidate Abe Hamadeh isn't able to prevail in the Arizona statewide recount about to begin, where he currently trails Democratic Attorney General-elect Kris Hayes. This is why your support for the Democratic Attorneys General Association is critical at this time. Arizona has been ground zero for Republican attacks on democracy. Kari Lake not only refuses to concede, but still spits out lie after lie about "election fraud" that doesn't exist. Ruby-red Cochise County, AZ had to be sued by current Secretary of State and Governor-elect Katie Hobbs to force them to submit their vote tallies, as they denied a fair election took place by presenting zero evidence and a whole lot of conspiracies. A second county, Mohave, also initially refused, until the threat of arrest forced the Republican commissioners to back down. And, of course, Hamadeh himself is spewing every conspiracy theory he can conjure up, damaging the faith Arizonans, and all Americans, have in our democratic process. So we must be ready for Hamadeh's team to pull out every trick, including trying to alter and/or destroy ballots, engage in ridiculous lawsuits, propaganda and even intimidation--anything they can think of, legal or otherwise--to try and wrest the election away from the 99% certain winner after a legitimate recount, Kris Mayes. | |
