John, this is way
overdue:

The House and Senate have finally passed the Respect for Marriage Act!
This is a huge win in our fight to guarantee marriage equality, and I’m so
excited to send the Respect for Marriage Act to the President’s desk.

Love won when we passed this much-needed legislation.

But even during a year where we’ve witnessed a national wave of extreme
homophobic and transphobic legislation and hate crimes, 36 Senate
Republicans and 169 House Republicans voted NO on this much-needed
legislation. It’s infuriating, and we cannot allow their votes to embolden
more discrimination.

John, we need to
keep fighting for more legislation that will protect and support our
LGBTQ+ community, especially when Republicans take control of the House in
January. [ [link removed] ]That starts with supporters like you helping us build a
movement big enough to achieve this change. Can you rush a contribution of
$3 or more to help us continue to fight for equality?

As the proud mom of a trans kid and someone who is in a loving interracial
marriage, passing the Respect for Marriage Act means so much to me
personally, and I am proud to be a part of this milestone.

In the aftermath of the devastating mass shooting in Colorado Springs in a
beloved LGBTQ+ space, it’s our responsibility to do everything we can to
protect LGBTQ+ rights and the young people growing up in America today –
and fight for the future they deserve.

As long as I’m in Congress, I will continue to fight with all the power I
have for LGBTQ+ equality nationwide. [ [link removed] ]Will you donate to support our
movement that will keep fighting for dignity, equality, and justice for
all?

Together,

Pramila
