We know we ask you to pitch in to our campaign every so often, but do you know why?
We ask because it was thousands of $5 donations that helped Tammy win reelection in 2018 by double digits in a state that went to Donald Trump two years earlier.
It was $5 that helped us flip the Senate majority in 2020 and hold the majority in 2022, allowing us to pass landmark legislation to fight climate change, lower the costs of prescription drugs, and protect marriage equality.
We know five bucks might not seem like a lot, especially when you compare it to the record amounts of spending by Mitch McConnell’s super PAC in the last election. But to us, every $5 donation makes a huge difference — it’s what sustains our work to protect our Democratic majorities so we can keep making progress for working families.
After a great election year, we’ve got a tough fight ahead of us. The Washington Post just published an article about how challenging the Senate map is for Democrats in 2024, and Republicans will certainly do and spend whatever they can to defeat Tammy and retake the majority. To fight back, it’s going to take a lot of folks pitching in what they can, when they can. That’s why we’re asking:
