The case before the Supreme Court hinges on whether individuals are allowed to discriminate against LGBTQ+ people based on their religious beliefs.

The issue at hand concerns an evangelical Christian web designer who wants to be able to deny LGBTQ+ Americans service.

While arguments are still ongoing, the case has HUGE implications for LGBTQ+ rights. [[link removed]]

If the right-wing Supreme Court rules in favor of the business that refuses to work with LGBTQ+ folks, it would open the floodgates for discriminatory practices. [[link removed]]

A ruling against LGBTQ+ rights would fly in the face of previous Supreme Court decisions — which since the 1960s have “rejected arguments that individuals could defy laws against race discrimination” based on religious beliefs.
