You've heard the saying... we're only as strong as our weakest link. Well check this out! No weak links at True Texas Project! Look at all these awards recently given!
These first 3 awards were given at the Texas Scorecard annual gala which recognizes citizen leaders for their volunteer political activism. It specifically does NOT recognize politicians! Earning this award is a great honor, and each winner gets an engraved saber!

Then at the True Texas Christmas event, we awarded our 3 essay contest winners. Each student had to take about a million really hard questions on US Economics and craft them into an intelligent essay. We learned a lot judging them! The prizes included a gold eagle coin, a 10oz silver bar, and a silver coin. Well-deserved!
From left to right, 3rd place went to Fisher Fromm (Tarrant); 2nd place went to Aaron Rappoport (Tarrant); and 1st place went to Lauren Mikeska (Brazos). Great job, students! We are proud of you and all the dozen other students who entered.
And get this... one essay was submitted by a 6th grader (Jake Williams) and would have come in second place if he was older. You had to be a junior or senior to enter. He entered just for fun! After our winners were recognized at the Christmas party, Jake got up with Shelley Luther and sang "Living On A Prayer"!
We know True Texas Project is filled with tons of great patriots just like those mentioned above. I can't wait to see what other awards our people earn! Make it a goal to get one of those sabers in 2023!
