Dear John,
It’s been a busy week in Washington, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how I am fighting for our conservative values.
I’d like to congratulate the Minnesota State High School League state champion football teams from the Seventh District: the Minneota Vikings (A), the Barnesville Public Schools Trojans (AA), and the New London-Spicer Wildcats (AAA). I’ll also give a shout-out to the Hutchinson Tigers for making it to the 4A final game. You all can be proud of your achievements. Congratulations again!
As a proud mother, constitutionalist, and co-chair of the Congressional Pro-Life Caucus, I am a fierce advocate for the rights of unborn babies. It goes further, though. As pro-life advocates, we must protect new mothers and offer support wherever necessary. I sponsored the Child Care Choices Act, which empowers young mothers to find home-based, family-based, and faith-based options for child care. Being pro-life also means supporting mothers, and I am proud to contribute to that with this legislation.
This week, I voted for the most recent iteration of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). My Republican colleagues and I fought and successfully removed the COVID-19 vaccine mandate and included a much-deserved pay raise for our armed forces. It is of the utmost importance to our national security that the military is fully funded, our troops’ medical autonomy is protected, and we project strength abroad. The passage of this year’s NDAA does just that.
As always, please contact my office if there is anything we can help with. Thank you for your continued support!
