We’ve been worrying, and now experts are predicting, that even if Kevin McCarthy becomes Speaker of the House that the extreme, MAGA wing of the party would be controlling his every action. In essence, the likes of Marjorie Taylor Greene would be acting as a shadow Speaker of the House, pulling McCarthy’s strings.
MTG has even been BRAGGING about the power she’ll wield over McCarthy. She said “I think that to be the best speaker of the House and to please the base, he's going to give me a lot of power and a lot of leeway. And if he doesn't, they're going to be very unhappy about it.”
