While things may seem a bit quieter since Election Day has come and gone, don’t be fooled! Here on Team Vasquez, we’ve been hard at work setting up our congressional office and I’ve been preparing to serve you in January.

Since the midterms ended and we won this crucial toss-up race, I’ve also had the opportunity to meet with so many supporters like you across NM-02 and celebrate our hard-fought victory. I look forward to more opportunities to celebrate and thank everyone who helped us win this campaign.

After traveling to DC for freshman orientation in the U.S. House, I was glad to spend time with family during Thanksgiving and get back to our time-honored traditions. For us, that includes making and enjoying tamales de dulce!

Then, our campaign hosted a volunteer and staff victory party in Las Cruces to say thanks and celebrate — this WIN could not have happened without YOU.

I spent time with Albuquerque’s Westside Democrats and the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County — I’m so grateful for your incredible work this election cycle, and I’m ready to continue working together to bring real results to our gente! Thanks for bringing it home, Albuquerque!

It’s also with honor and pride that I have the opportunity to serve as a new member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, the largest-ever class in Congress!

This is just the very beginning of my work and our movement for progress in NM-02. I can’t wait to be sworn-in to office in a few short weeks and start legislating!
