Today, we honor the men and women who put their lives on the line every single
day to keep us safe. 


National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is about respecting and recognizing
the contributions and the sacrifice of the policemen and women who stand on a
thin blue line to serve and protect. 


From giving a well-earned and deserved pay increase to our Indiana State
Police troopers to providing public safety organizations with the resources
they need to do their jobs, our administration has made supporting our police
and the work that they do a top priority. That’s why the Indiana State Police
Alliance — comprised of 2,000 active and retired state troopers from across all
92 of Indiana’s counties — endorsed our 2020 campaign.

Getting our law enforcement the resources and support they need is a crucial
part of making Indiana a great place to do business, raise a family, and enjoy
life. I couldn’t appreciate the work that they do more — that’s why I’d like to
ask you to join me in thanking and supporting Indiana’s police on this special
