Originally from Prescott, Kris is a lifelong Arizonan who has always fought for consumers and working families. As Arizona Corporation Commissioner, Kris fought for victims of securities fraud and saved taxpayers millions while bolstering environmental protections.
Throughout the campaign, Kris reminded voters that “democracy runs through Arizona,” and that sentiment could not be more true as we wait for this recount to officially declare her victorious. Arizona is a state that former President Donald Trump targeted with his 2020 election lies, and Republican AG candidate Abe Hamadeh has been a proponent of Trump’s conspiracy theories and misinformation since his campaign began.
