As 2022 winds down, federal antitrust enforcers are sharing more about their efforts to address the consolidation of corporate power across the economy. This week, Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan and the Department of Justice’s Assistant Attorney General of Antitrust Jonathan Kanter joined the Wall Street Journal CEO Council and The Federalist Society respectively to layout their approaches to antitrust enforcement and discuss what they hope to accomplish in their terms.
At WSJ CEO Council, Chair Khan spoke to Washington Bureau Chief Paul Beckett about the national security implications of corporate concentration, how rollups and small scale acquisitions can lead to monopolization, why the Ticketmaster Taylor Swift debacle converted "Gen Z'ers into antimonopolists overnight,” and more.

At The Federalist Society, AAG Kanter talked with former AAG Charles “Rick” Rule about why his work is fundamentally about enforcing the rule of law, why competition yields so many benefits across society, how antitrust enforcers can advance bad case law, and more.
