(Dis)Respect for Marriage Act Passes the U.S. House
Thursday, the "Respect for Marriage Act" passed the U.S. House. Not only does this redefine marriage on the federal level to include homosexual unions, it also opens the door to our religious liberties being violated. The changes made by the Senate weren't enough to adequately protect churches and businesses in cases of conscientious objection.
"After the House last considered this bill in July, the Senate was forced to make significant changes to the bill. Unfortunately, those changes do not go far enough in protecting religious liberty" — Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio
