I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season! I’ve been taking some much-needed time off after the election, and now am gearing up for next year’s legislative session starting in just a few weeks. A couple updates for you:

Last week, I was honored to be selected by my fellow Senate Democrats to serve as Deputy Majority Leader! I’ll also be the Chair of the Higher Education & Workforce Development committee, and serve on both the Transportation and Health & Long Term Care committees. 

Here’s what I’m going to be fighting for in next year’s session – delivering much-needed relief for our working families, protecting reproductive freedom and expanding healthcare access, and ensuring that everyone has the tools they need to build their futures. And I will always put the people in our community at the center of that work. I’m excited to get to work!

Today at midnight, the fundraising freeze for Washington State legislators begins, meaning we won’t be able to raise any money until after next year’s legislative session ends. I hope I can count on your support as we head into the fundraising freeze and next year’s session. You already know that I never accept any corporate PAC checks, relying instead on neighbors like you to help us succeed. 

We’re hoping to raise $5,000 before midnight tonight – will you consider making a contribution of $26, $100 or more today, to show your support before the freeze hits and send us into 2023?
