In 2023, Green America will continue to push AT&T, Verizon, and other mega-corporations to adopt 100% renewable energy by 2025. As solar and wind sectors are rapidly growing, we are advocating that the new clean energy economy benefits those who have been disproportionately harmed by fossil fuels, specifically Black, Indigenous, and Latinx communities. This includes addressing unjust energy burdens on households, advancing community solar, and increasing racial and gender diversity in renewables. Green America is strongly encouraging telecoms giants as they transition away from fossil fuels to ensure the renewable energy firms they use have responsible labor practices, support all communities, and are advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout their companies.
