The reality is that not everyone can afford to make a donation and that's all right. We believe that our content should be free and accessible to everyone—it's why we don't have and never will have a paywall to access our stories, activism tools, and our site.

We don't have billionaire backers or corporate sponsors that use their purse strings to control what we said and did. We are pretty proud of that. We have you, Jack, and thousands of other Daily Kos readers and activists that donate what they can to support our work. In fact, nearly half of our revenue comes from grassroots donations.

That's why I am writing to ask for your help. Daily Kos still needs to raise $102,760 by the end of our year to reach our yearly fundraising goal. Can you donate $5, or whatever is meaningful to you, to support our work?
