Folks,

Virginia’s entire Democratic delegation in the U.S. House voted YEA on the Respect for Marriage Act – now, the bill is on its way to the White House, where President Biden will sign it into law and enshrine the right of all Americans to marry who they love.

The Respect for Marriage Act ensures that all states must recognize marriages between same-sex couples, protecting LGBTQ rights against any potential assaults from the GOP-led Supreme Court.

Our fight to protect the civil rights of LGBTQ individuals does not end with this bill. We’ve got much more work to do – can we count on you to help Virginia Democrats do even more to protect the rights of all Americans?

Thanks to Democrats’ unanimous vote yesterday, we’ve made a giant leap towards protecting LGBTQ rights. Will you chip in and help us continue the fight to protect marriage equality in America?
