FIRST: Governor Ron DeSantis VETOED congressional maps passed by Republicans in the Florida legislature…because the maps weren’t gerrymandered enough!

THEN: DeSantis proposed a gerrymandered map that was so extreme, even a DeSantis-appointed judge indicated it unconstitutionally suppressed Black votes.

NOW: Republicans are crediting DeSantis and his gerrymandered map with netting Republicans four congressional seats, allowing the GOP to take back the House despite their lackluster performance on Election Day.

IN OTHER WORDS, Ron DeSantis forced his gerrymandered map on Floridians, and now the entire country has to live with a Republican-led House of Representatives.
