John —
Today is Latina Equal Pay Day, a day that marks how far into the new year Latinas must work to match what white, non-Hispanic men earned the year before. That’s 341 extra days that Latinas would have to work in order to earn what white males earned last year.
But that’s only part of the story. Latinas are essential — to our economy, democracy, and society. Yet, their work continues to be horribly undervalued and underpaid: Latinas were paid only 54 cents to every dollar that white men were paid in 2021. The picture is bleaker for immigrant Latinas who were paid 46 cents to every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic men in 2021.
That’s why we’re lifting up Latina domestic workers and Latinas across sectors that are speaking out and standing up. Sign our pledge today and stand with Latina domestic workers and all Latinas. [[link removed]]

Pay equity is more than ensuring that Latinas are paid on par with their white male co-workers. In a moment when Latinas and their families are facing multiple intersectional crises, we must reimagine how we value Latinas and their labor, and the labor of all women of color, and ensure that they and their families are centered in our economy.
At NDWA, we believe that all domestic workers should be protected from abusive conditions in the workplace and have the power to command fair wages and a full complement of labor rights. Join us and pledge to stand with Latina domestic workers and to support our ongoing fight to build a society that respects and values the contributions of women of color [[link removed]] .
