Funny Girl Producer’s Picks August Wilson Theatre Give the gift of live theater for the holidays while supporting a life in the arts! Producer’s Picks tickets are donated by the producers so your entire ticket purchase goes to support the Entertainment Community Fund’s programs and services. This bittersweet comedy is the story of the indomitable Fanny Brice, a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage. Everyone told her she'd never be a star, but then something funny happened—she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway. Starring Lea Michele and featuring some of the most iconic songs in theatre history including “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star” and “People,” Michael Mayer’s bold new production marks the first time Funny Girl has returned to Broadway since its debut 58 years ago.
Stars In The House Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley’s live talk show, Stars In The House, has raised more than $1,173,570 to benefit the Entertainment Community Fund! Tune in on December 8 for a Medical Check-In with Dr. Jon LaPook, CBS News chief medical correspondent.
Murder, She Wrote Production Made Painting Here’s your chance to own a piece of Hollywood history via Heritage Auctions! Bid now on this framed painting of Angela Lansbury as “Jessica Fletcher”, which was created for the 1997 TV movie Murder, She Wrote: South By Southwest by Jaroslav Gebr (who also signed the back of the painting). A special thank you to the current owner of the painting, Zac Bissonnette, who is donating 100% of the proceeds to the Entertainment Community Fund in celebration of the recent release of his Hollywood-themed mystery novel A Killing In Costumes published by Crooked Lane Books. We also want to thank Heritage Auctions for generously waiving their fees so that 100% of the hammer price will benefit the Fund.
