Yesterday, the Conservative Party sent a fundraising email from Stephen Harper asking supporters to join him “in doing everything possible” to make Pierre Poilievre Prime Minister. He also had this to say:

“I’ve seen Pierre in action. He served as my Parliamentary Secretary and was a strong Minister in my government.”

Here’s a look at Pierre Poilievre’s record as a member of Stephen Harper’s cabinet:

- Proposed a bill as minister that would have made it more difficult for youth and minorities to vote
- Supported the discriminatory niqab ban
- Rolled back workers’ rights and fought against card-check legislation which makes it easier for workers to unionize
Since 2015, Poilievre has voted against our plan to make life more affordable and build an economy that works for all Canadians, and now he’s proposing reckless policies that would weaken our gun controls, roll back our climate action, promote volatile crypto currencies to ‘opt out of inflation,’ and cut services that people rely on.
