Congress is only in session for a couple more weeks this year.

Your members of Congress should be doing everything they can to improve the lives of Americans before Republicans take over the House next year.

But corporate lobbyists are in DC right now trying to convince Congress to lock in three Trump-era corporate tax giveaways that could cost America $600 billion.

Add your name to tell Congress: Raise, don’t cut, corporate taxes this year.

In 2017, Trump signed a tax scam into law that gave corporations a 40% federal income tax cut, and added nearly $2 trillion to the federal deficit over 10 years.

In 2021, corporations recorded annual profits of $2.8 trillion, up 25% from the year before. In 2022, they’re enjoying their highest profit margin in over 70 years.

And now, Congress is considering doubling down on Trump’s tax scam by expanding major tax loopholes that benefit big business:

Corporations are pushing to write off more expenses for research and development, write off more of their long-term assets immediately, and write off more of their interest on loans.

If they get their wish, they’ll avoid hundreds of billions of dollars in taxes — money that could be going to health care, housing, or lifting children out of poverty.

Send a message to Congress. Tell them:

Corporations are enjoying record profits from inflated prices. And they are paying record low income tax rates while they price-gouge consumers. They don’t need even more tax breaks that enrich wealthy shareholders while starving public services of critically needed funds.

As Congress considers an end-of-year spending bill, *do not* extend Trump’s tax scam by cutting corporate taxes yet again.

Thank you for taking action.

For justice,

- Robert Weissman, President of Public Citizen
