For those of you who may not know me yet, I’m Congresswoman Katherine Clark - and I am so incredibly honored to be the next Democratic Whip in the House.

Let me tell you why I decided to run for leadership and what I hope to accomplish together.

In this election, the American people rejected Republican extremism and affirmed Democrats’ commitment to working people. By standing with women, for democracy, and a fair shot for every American, we have defied expectations and even history!

Now, we must be united to stop the Republicans’ extreme agenda and secure wins for the American people. I am ready to guide this critical work as our next Democratic Whip.

For me, this isn’t about individual ambition, but our collective good. I will use my voice at the leadership table to bring people and solutions together.

Time and time again, House Democrats have proven that when we stand together, we can overcome our greatest obstacles and secure wins for the American people.
