John, In case you missed it, the Democrats advanced a bill in the House that would make it easier for illegal immigrants to stay in the United States. |
The bill, known as the Veteran Service Recognition Act, has a flowery title meant to mask its true intentions. If enacted, it would create a pathway for criminals to stay in our country and completely ignore the rule of law. It even gives the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) the power to reverse previous deportation decisions and offer illegal aliens permanent resident status. In the House Judiciary Committee, several amendments were offered and rejected that would’ve ensured dangerous criminals did not receive an adjustment of status. Why are Democrats so eager to have criminals on the streets of our communities? This is nothing more than an attempt by Democrats to weaken our immigration system, advance their open-borders agenda, and make our country less safe. |
