Happy December! It's been a busy end to the year, and we're so excited about all the incredible work our committees and working groups are doing. See what everyone's up to, and find out how you can get involved!

...But first, don't forget to sign up for our town hall this Saturday, December 10, at 11:00am. Our newly elected state legislators (and DDSA members) Elisabeth Epps and Javier Mabrey, along with special guests from NEWR, will be debriefing on this last election. You won't want to miss it!

Electoral Committee:

Check out the new application for Denver DSA endorsement, and share with candidates you think align with DDSA's values.
Sign up to help the 4 (!) DDSA members running for City Council get on the ballot by collecting signatures (and if you live in Denver commit to sign their petitions here.)

Labor Committee:

Follow Labor to fight wage theft through lobbying (and direct action) in favor of the new wage theft ordinance at Denver City Council.
Submit your entries for businesses in the Denver area engaging in anti worker practices.

Housing Justice Committee:

Join Housing Justice for a very special political education social this Sunday, December 11 at 1:00pm.
Housing Justice is now focusing on tenant organizing – fill out this form if you’re interested in organizing your building or have a tenant lead.

Eco Socialist Committee:

Join EcoSoc for a virtual social & article discussion on this Monday, December 12 at 6:00pm.

Political Education Working Group:

Check out PolEd's inaugural issue of The Pika Press and help plan the next newsletter for January (focus: the midterms.)
PolEd meets bi-weekly – join the next one this Monday, December 12 at 7:00pm.
They're planning a movie night for January/February – movie TBD.

Socialist Feminist Committee:

Join SocFem for part 2 of their reading group for Feminism for the 99% this Sunday, December 11 at 3:00pm at Washington Park Community Center (masks required.)
Check out their next biweekly meeting on Thursday, December 15 at 7:00pm to help plan the next SocFem initiative.

Palestine Working Group:

Did you know Denver Police is trained by the Israeli Army?! Reach out to #wg-palestine on Slack if you're interested in working to end deadly exchange.

Having issues with your boss, workplace, or landlord? Our committees and working groups – like Labor and Housing Justice – are great sources of info and comradery. Don’t hesitate to reach out!
