Believe it or not, there are just a few weeks left in 2022. But before we all take time to reflect and ring in the new year, I want to say thank you!

When faced with attacks on our rights, rising white nationalism, and threats to the foundation of our democracy, New Americans and our allies—people like YOU—stepped up to organize, advocate, and run for office like never before. And thanks to your support [[link removed]] and incredible work, we made history.

I am thrilled to share that an amazing 73% of New American Leaders Action Fund endorsees won their elections this year!

From school boards and city councils to state legislatures and Congress, our newly elected endorsees are ready to shake up politics as usual, represent our communities, and lead with our shared progressive values. People like Steven Raga ran and won because of his inclusive community-centered approach to leadership, becoming the first Filipino ever elected to the New York State legislature. In Illinois, Nabeela Syed also became a trailblazing leader, winning against an incumbent and becoming the first Muslim and first Indian American woman ever elected to the Illinois State Legislature. And in Arizona, Jennifer Hernandez won her election to serve on the Phoenix Union High School District Governing Board, becoming the youngest woman of color to ever do so. They are just three members from our incredible group of newly elected officials and our most diverse cohort yet!
