Here’s a final update from us in 2022.

Just published: Scottish progress report and emissions targets

Yesterday, we published two reports – our 2022 Progress Report to the Scottish Parliament and the first five-yearly review of Scottish Emissions Targets.

In these two reports we assessed Scotland’s progress in emissions reduction, policy plans, and delivery of those plans in the last year. We also reviewed Scotland’s targets in light of changes to the methodology for estimating emissions since our previous target advice. Our conclusion was that the Scottish Government lacks a clear delivery plan and has not offered a coherent explanation for how its policies will achieve Scotland’s bold emissions reduction targets

New analysis: Energy efficiency and demand

This week, our Chief Executive, Chris Stark, shared new analysis on energy efficiency covering the Government’s overall aim to reduce buildings and industry energy demand by 15%, funding announcements and links to long-term policies.
