Patriot, On Tuesday night, The U.S. Congress released what is likely to be the final version of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). A 4,408-page monstrosity, the bill contains so much spending and so much waste that even the summaries are hundreds of pages long. But thanks to all of your phone calls and petitions, the proposed “Digital ID” legislation was removed from the final bill! They also stripped out the language that would require women to register for the draft. And although they did not include a BAN on Covid vaccine mandates for men and women in uniform, they did include language to require the Secretary of Defense to rescind the current Covid vaccine mandate. Make no mistake, none of this makes the NDAA a good bill. . . But on the most dangerous aspects of the bill that we’ve been fighting for weeks, we got much of what we wanted. Thank you for all of the phone calls you made to your legislators. Your action really did make a difference, and we held the line on Digital ID. Of course, the NDAA itself is still a disaster. With an astronomical price tag of $857.9 BILLION, the “compromise” is $10 billion more than the Senate bill and almost $20 billion more than the House bill. It includes another $800 million to be squandered in Ukraine – $500 million more than the Biden administration asked for. That’s a Washington “compromise” for you – spending billions
more of taxpayer money than either side proposed. We will continue to monitor the NDAA in the final stages of negotiation. But at the same time, the “lame duck” session isn’t over yet. Next up is the Omnibus funding bill, where we have no doubt we will need to fight various statist goodies dropped in the bill so they can help cement Nancy Pelosi’s legacy of destruction. As The Hill reported, “The lame-duck session offers Democrats a final shot at notching policy wins before Republicans take control of the House next year, and party leaders have packed it full of weighty proposals touching on gay rights, immigration reform, COVID-19 aid, Ukraine funding and efforts to strengthen America’s election systems.” We’re also hearing that the Omnibus spending bill will include tens of billions more so-called “aid” for Ukraine – the Biden regime asked for $38 billion. And the kicker is reports indicate Congress is resisting sensible demands for oversight of the funds despite multiple stories of misappropriation of the billions already sent to Ukraine. We’ll be gearing up for this fight very soon. But for now, thank you for taking the time to make those phone calls and sign your directives to Congress. They really have made a difference. We’ve been fighting Digital ID and Central Bank Digital Currency for the past year, and this was a hard-fought victory. Let’s keep up the fight and finish strong in these last battles. As we gear up for the statists’ last push of 2022, if you can, please chip in a contribution today to help us keep up the fight.
