The Washington Times: Whistleblower says Border Patrol released convicted murderer because he had COVID

Tom Homan, who served as head of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in the Trump administration, said he was told about the release by a Border Patrol agent involved in the incident.

"Saying that someone cannot be removed just because they're an illegal alien is a drastic change in our immigration law," says Christopher Hajec at the Immigration Reform Law Institute..."

The Immigration Reform Law Institute, which filed an amicus brief in support of the lawsuit, said choosing not to deport some immigrants is inconsistent with the laws Congress has passed.
