In the aftermath of yet another election cycle where voters rejected extreme MAGA Republicans and election deniers, former President Donald Trump took his attack on our democracy to a new level:

He suggested “terminating” the Constitution to overturn the 2020 election.

In George Washington’s own words, “the Constitution is sacredly obligatory upon all.”

That means everyone — charlatans, demagogues, racial arsonists, malignant narcissists, wannabe dictators, and former presidents.

And yes, even you, Donald.

We have to fight back against anti-democratic attacks. We have to root out MAGA extremism. We have to defeat election deniers.

I’m leading House Democrats forward in our work to do just that. But it will take all of us to defeat extreme MAGA Republicans and take back the House in 2024.
