CHBA BC
The Development Approvals Process Review (DAPR) Report released in the fall of 2019 notes the multitude of opportunities available (as determined through stakeholder engagement discussions) to see to overcoming the current challenges within the current development approval process.
We are conducting a survey on how our members perceive the importance of the individual opportunities outlined in the DAPR Report.
Providing your input on how these opportunities relate to you, and their relative importance, in your work as a member of CHBA BC will allow us to determine best steps moving forward on this file.
All submissions are anonymous — you can complete the survey here.

CHBA BC
CHBA BC expressed our opposition and concerns to the National Building Code’s proposed change to require the installation of grab bars for bathtubs and showers. While this change is being proposed to reduce fall hazards in bathtubs and showers, more review is needed to address protection against water ingress, manufactured bathtub and shower warranty issues and design flexibility. Alternatively, we would consider support for installing backing on the bathtub or shower wall to accommodate future grab bar installation.
You can find our submission here.
