The centerpiece of the Health Affairs Journal Club meeting in December
is, "Understanding Take-Up Of The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) Among
Californians With Low Income
<[link removed]>."

Using data from their "Assessing California Communities' Experiences
with Safety Net Supports" (ACCESS) study-which included interviews
with 411 EITC-eligible Californians with young children-the authors
identify reasons for lower participation in the program and make
recommendations for counteracting those shortcomings.

On December 15, please join co-author Lia Fernald, the Brian and
Jennifer Maxwell Endowed Chair Public Health and Professor of Community
Health Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, for a
detailed discussion of the paper's data, methods, and policy
conclusions. Health Affairs Senior Editor Laura Tollen will host.

Date: Thursday, December 15, 2022
Time: 4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. Eastern
