UPDATE: U.S. GOVERNMENT CONFIRMS IT WILL NOT TARGET IRAN’S CULTURAL SITES
Earlier this week, in response to statements suggesting that cultural heritage
sites in Iran could be targeted in retribution for attacks by Iran, the National
Trust, other cultural organizations, and advocates nationwide joined together to
urge the U.S. government to protect these irreplaceable sites.
