Facing Race 2022 was one of our most successful conferences to date with more than 4,000 attendees joining us in-person and online!
In the backdrop of the historic 2022 midterm elections (and in the face of the still ongoing pandemic) people from across the nation joined us to build collective power and to take on systemic racism head-on. We want to send a very special and warm thank you to all attendees who took the time to participate.
There was much to celebrate and lift up during the three-day event. From Ibram X. Kendi’s rousing keynote speech, to our mainstage speakers and performers, to all our breakout session presenters, it was truly a momentous occasion.
Hear from conference attendees: "What Does Facing Race Mean To You?"
We also want to thank Racial Justice Reads and Race Flicks for their participation, as well as the Phoenix Host Committee, GLOW Global events, and our key sponsors: the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Open Society Foundations, GEICO, The Kresge Foundation, YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix, and the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.
For conference attendees, please be sure to fill out the conference survey to help us make Facing Race the best experience possible in the future!

The Facing Race Team
