Cassie Cantin was one of the first veterans I met when I joined Boot Campaign in 2017; she spent 25 years in the Army as a nurse and deployed to Iraq, working in a combat support hospital.
When Cassie retired in 2011, she continued to fight a war – a war within – that caused sleepless nights and strained relationships.
We’re so grateful for veterans like Cassie who joined the military to serve others but has committed to continuing that service out of uniform.
Boot Campaign exists to provide individualized treatment to veterans struggling to overcome hidden wounds of war, such as brain injury, post traumatic stress, chronic pain, self-medication and insomnia.
With your support, more veterans like Cassie will get the tools and treatment they need and so deserve.
