We need your help, Friend!
Time is running out in lame duck session and this
resolution is flying through the legislature.
House Joint Resolution 6 (HJR6) is a constitutional amendment that
will raise the threshold to pass citizen-led Constitutional Amendments
on the ballot. Our state legislature would be effectively
asking us to vote to reduce our own power!
Tools like the Constitutional
Amendment process in Ohio have never been more precious nor their
defense more important. We see no justifiable reason, after over 100
years, to suddenly make this already challenging process more
difficult.
There are 3 ways to help:
Join us and 140 organizations from across the political
spectrum for a Rally for Democracy to stop House Joint Resolution
6 on Tuesday, December 13! We are gathering at Trinity
Episcopal Church at 11:15am. The church is across the street from the
Statehouse at 125 E Broad St, Columbus, OH 43215.
Can’t make it to the rally or
you've already contacted your legislators? Then please help us fund our campaign to protect direct democracy
in Ohio.
