Last night, Raphael Warnock defeated Hershel Walker in the Georgia runoff. And as the Washington Post highlighted, “Democrats sought to capitalize on abortion in the final stretch of the campaign”— including spending two-thirds of ads on the issue.

Democrats win when we put popular, progressives issues like abortion on the ballot. That’s why Ground Game Texas has launched a campaign for a ballot initiative that would, among other things, decriminalize abortion in San Antonio. 

We’re putting abortion on the ballot in Texas, but we need your help to make sure it passes. Can you chip in $25, or whatever you can afford, to help us register voters and mobilize them behind our initiative?

Team, in this midterm cycle Democrats defied expectations and even EXPANDED our Senate majority because we put abortion on the ballot. Five states had abortion measures on the ballot — and in all five, voters overwhelmingly showed up to protect abortion access. This issue helped secure record turnout and elect Democrats across the country.

Ground Game Texas is using the same strategy: putting popular, progressive policies like abortion, marijuana, and climate directly on the ballot for voters. That’s what we’re doing in San Antonio – working to decriminalize abortion in one of the biggest cities in the nation. But we need your help to make sure it passes.
