The Hill: GOP attorneys general sue to prevent adding Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution

Republican AGs are wasting taxpayer money to block an amendment that would ban discrimination based on sex and enshrine equality for all women in the Constitution. It's a disgrace and Democratic AGs are refusing to stay silent, but they need to know you have their backs:

When Democrats won majorities in the Virginia legislature in 2019, it put the ERA on a path toward ratification as Virginia will be the 38th and final state needed to add the ERA to the U.S Constitution.

Republicans claim that it's too late to pass the ERA but make no mistake this is all about their obsession with pushing a far-right, anti-woman agenda that includes controlling women and their bodies.

While this is shameful, it's not surprising. These are some of the same Republican AGs who are suing to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, deport Dreamers, and rollback much of Obama's climate legacy. They must be stopped, and to do so, we need every single grassroots supporter standing with Democratic AGs. Can we count on you, team
